Fall in Chengdu

The campus where I teach is lined with ginkgo biloba trees, a unique native Chinese tree (with no living relatives!) that can live for hundreds of years and is widely cultivated for food and used for its medicinal purposes.  In the fall, the leaves turn bright yellow, and EVERYONE in town comes to campus to photograph the beautiful sight.

Are those shadows?  YES!  The sun was actually shining this day.  And look at the blue sky!  A rare sight.

I teach in these top floor classrooms!
